What to put in one, and what not to
A container is unheated and uncooled, so it does not regulate temperature or humidity. Conditions vary with weather, construction and ventilation. Check each item’s storage requirements before choosing the outdoor option.
Good fits: tools and power equipment, mowers and yard gear, ranch and outdoor kit, patio and garden furniture, building materials, tyres and wheels, sports and camping equipment, shop stock, seasonal decorations, and anything already living in an uninsulated garage or barn without complaint.
Put these indoors instead: upholstered and wood furniture, mattresses, electronics and appliances, paperwork and photographs, artwork, musical instruments, vinyl, candles and cosmetics, and anything with a battery.
